Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is an American actor and singer. The actress was born in Huntington Woods and raised there. She is the daughter of Lorelei Frygier and Tom Bell. She is of Polish heritage (mother) as well as German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen found her talent in entertainment from a young stage of her life. She attended her audition in 1992 and got a role on Raggedy Ann, and Andy. Bell was appointed by her mom to become an agent when she was only thirteen years old. Bell was later cast for newspaper ads and TV commercials. Now, Bell also begins individual acting classes. Bell was in a role of minor importance, uncredited on the film Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School and was part of music as well as the drama club. The Wizard of Oz was performed by her high school and she took home the role as Dorothy. Bell was a student of in musical theater at the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts located in New York City after graduating. Bell was a graduate in 2001, resigned her college studies in order to take on in the role of Becky in Tom Sawyer. In 2001, Bell made her first credit debut with the role of Becky Pootie Tang. But the scene she played was removed from the film, and her appearance was only as a credit. In 2002, Bell made an appearance as a character in her first Broadway production of The Crucible with Liam Neeson and Angela Bettis.
