Madhuri Dixit

MadhuriMadhuri dixit was an Indian actress who is known for her performance in the movies 'Beta' 'Saajan' and 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun . Her career started in the late 1980s. Her fame was boosted by her performance as a supporting character in the movie Tezaab. In the film 'Dil she played with Aamir Khan. Born to a middle-class household in Mumbai the city, she began to study dance from a young age. She started acting when she was a youngster and was a struggle for a few years as most of her early films ended up being flops. She was successful, and soon went on to become a top actress in the Indian film industry. She had a short break from her career after her marriage and then returned to the entertainment industry. She was also a key part in the film 'Gulaab Gang,' which was a documentary about the challenges faced by Indian women. Dixit is nominated for fifteen Filmfare Awards, out of which she took home eight. She also received the Padma Shri award, India's fourth highest civilian honour.
